Minimalist leather sneakers for men
The sneaker is where ETQ began in 2010, and where most wardrobes here still start. Clean lines, leather and suede uppers and a small heel mark instead of oversized branding. Every pair is designed in our Dutch studio and handmade in Felgueiras, Portugal, in a family-owned atelier, then refined over the years rather than replaced each season. The two most-bought are the flagship LT 03 and the lower-profile LT 01 Court Lite, both in white Premium Nappa for daily wear and in Mediterranean Suede for a softer look.
The reason customers come back, often for a second or third pair, is range of use: one clean leather sneaker that holds up under a suit, sits right with chinos and still works at the weekend.

How to wear them
A white LT is the easiest shoe to build a wardrobe around. With chinos and a clean T-shirt it is a summer uniform. Under tailored trousers it reads smart-casual for the office; with jeans and a knit it dresses down without looking sloppy. Where are ETQ sneakers made?
All ETQ footwear is handmade in Felgueiras, Portugal, the heart of Portuguese shoemaking, in a family-owned atelier with roots going back to 1935: three generations of shoemakers, today a team of 76 specialists. The leather comes from LWG certified tanneries in Portugal, Italy and Spain, and every pair is hand-lasted and passes two final inspections before it ships. Design happens at our studio in the Netherlands.
Do ETQ sneakers come in half sizes?
We work in whole EU sizes, so there are no half sizes. If you normally fall on a half size or sit between two, take the larger of the two, there is a little room to fine-tune the fit with the insole.
Do they work for wider feet?
Lightly wider feet are generally fine. If your feet are very wide across the front, the clean court last can feel snug there. A simple fix: the standard ETQ insole is fairly thick, so swapping in a thinner insole frees up noticeable room. Fit always stays a little personal, so use the fit indicator on each product page as your guide.
Can I use my own insole?
Yes. The memory-foam insole lifts straight out, so you can drop in your own support or orthotic insole, or fit a thinner one to create extra room.
Can I wear leather sneakers in the rain?
They can handle a shower, but they may pick up dirt and water marks. We recommend preparing them beforehand with a water-repellent treatment, essential on suede and nubuck, and a good idea on Nappa and full grain too. See our shoe care range.

How to measure
Let’s find your perfect fit. Place a sheet of paper on the floor against the wall and put your feet (with socks) on it, heels against the wall. Make sure you lean on your feet with full power when measuring. Now you simply draw a line at the end of the biggest foot. Measure the distance with a ruler and find the size that matches it: see size table. Are you in between sizes? In that case, we suggest taking the bigger size.
Mediterranean Suede
Refined in style, matt in color. The ultra-soft suede leather is sanded and feels velvety soft. It is crafted from the inside layer of the leather hide. Mediterranean leather is the delicate choice.
Premium Suede

Nappa Leather
Soft. Smooth. Nappa leather makes extremely comfortable shoes. The leather is obtained from tanning animal hides. It is characterized by a fine grain and a smooth finish. It feels simply sophisticated.
Nubuck Leather
Premium nubuck: the best of the best. Exclusive leather that we sanded rough on the outside grain part of the hide, giving it a velvety butter-soft surface. It offers utmost suppleness.
Full Grain Leather
Full grain leather is naturally firmer and more durable as it is produced by retaining the top layer of the hide. Its appearance is natural, authentic, and robust. You are still able to see the grains. It looks just like the grains on your skin. We never sanded, buffed, or snuffed it, so this leather is super strong.
French Terry
Tès Chique. French terry is a knit characterized by its unique looped-back construction. One side is smooth, and the other side is textured with loops of thread. It is known for its comfort, breathability, and moisture-proof properties. French terry is available as lightweight or heavyweight.
Punti di Roma
Wrinkle-resistant, soft like a baby, and slightly elastic. This is Italian quality, knitted to perfection. Punti Di Roma has a heavy, rich quality as the stitches interlock on both sides of the fabric. The best part: it’s recovery properties. This fabric stays in shape. And so will you.
Bamboo
Bamboo fibers are derived from the pulp of bamboo plants. Bamboo knits are soft and breathable. Moisture wicking? Yes. Ideal for socks.
American Fleece
