Stylish product

A beautiful and stylish product that, as is often the case with this brand, is of high quality. The shoe is also very comfortable to wear. The color is exactly as shown in the photos.

great product

Great product—quite slim, small but beautiful, and very good quality; the price is okay.

Satisfied, as expected

I already had a pair of LS 03s in Taupe; I just picked up another color—I'm very happy with them. I wear a size 43 and bought a size 44.

High quality

Really good quality

Designed in the Netherlands, made in Portugal, worn straight out of the box.

Suede is what most people picture when they think of an ETQ loafer: soft, matt and warm underfoot. We use Mediterranean Suede, sanded for a soft hand, on a clean slip-on you can wear from the first step. Designed in our Dutch studio and made in family-owned ateliers in Portugal, on a durable rubber outsole. The LS 01 is the one to start with; the line then extends into the LS 05 penny loafer and higher, dressier shapes.

When we ask customers why they bought, two answers come back most: the clean design and the quality. Across more than 500 verified reviews ETQ holds 4.6 out of 5, and after quality the word that recurs most is comfort, which reviewers regularly describe as trainer-like. It's the pair many buy first and then own in several colours, part of a community of more than 250,000 customers.

The range, by how you'll actually wear it

LS 01. The core low suede slip-on, comfortable from the first step.

LS 05 penny loafer. A modern penny loafer with the classic saddle strap, built on a cushioned sneaker sole rather than a stiff traditional one. It looks like a penny loafer and wears like a trainer.

LS 03. A refined variation on the slip-on for a slightly different profile.

ML mid loafer. A higher-cut suede slip-on that covers more of the foot, for cooler days.

MC 01 moccasin. A clean suede slip-on without the penny strap, made to move from casual to smart.

How to wear suede loafers

Sockless or with no-show socks under shorts or rolled chinos in summer; under tailored trousers for the office; with denim and knitwear as it cools. The tonal shades sit naturally with earth tones; darker shades dress up. See our business casual edit for more.

Suede, or something more structured?

Choose suede for the softest hand, the easiest break-in and a loafer that leans relaxed-refined. For a firmer, all-season slip-on that holds its shape and handles weather better, see the full grain and nubuck options in our leather loafers, or compare every silhouette in the complete loafer collection.

How they fit

Suede loafers run true to size and relax as the suede gives, so if you are between sizes, size down. Each product page carries a fit indicator built from real customer returns.

Frequently asked about suede loafers

Do suede loafers run big or small?

They run true to size and relax as the suede gives, so if you are between sizes, size down. Each product page carries a fit indicator built from real customer returns.

Are they comfortable straight away?

Yes. There's no break-in period; reviewers regularly describe the comfort as trainer-like, with a cushioned insole underfoot from the first wear.

Is suede hard to look after?

No, with a little routine. Apply a protector spray before first wear and brush now and then. They handle light rain once protected but aren't built for heavy wet weather. See our shoe care range and care guide.

Do I wear suede loafers with socks?

Either. They're made to be worn barefoot or with no-show socks in warm weather, and with trousers or denim when it cools. For freshness we recommend no-show socks over going fully barefoot.

What's the difference between the LS 01, LS 05, ML and MC?

The LS 01 is the core low slip-on and the LS 05 is a penny loafer on a sneaker sole; the ML is a mid loafer that sits higher on the foot, and the MC 01 is a moccasin, a clean slip-on without the penny strap.

Where are they made?

Designed in our Dutch studio and made in family-owned ateliers in Portugal.

This is ETQ. Designed quietly. Worn for years. See all loafers, suede footwear and the full footwear collection.
