Simple elegance
Extremely timeless and quality shoes for almost all seasons. Very comfortable and easy to wear.
Nice loafers
Nice loafers—buy one size smaller.
Nice shoe
Nice shoe, but I'd prefer it to be a little fancier—it still looks too much like a sneaker.
Etw. polo
This is the best polo I have ever owned!! I ordered one and after 1 month came back for the 5 pack offer! Highly recommended!
Satisfied, as expected
I already had a pair of LS 03s in Taupe; I just picked up another color—I'm very happy with them. I wear a size 43 and bought a size 44.
It's the question we are asked most before a wedding, so here is the honest answer. For most weddings today a clean pair of either works, and the choice comes down to the dress code, the setting and your role on the day. Loafers and moccasins sit at the dressier end; clean leather trainers are right for relaxed, outdoor and summer weddings. What matters is that the shoe is clean, tonal and unbranded. All our footwear is made in Portugal.
If the invitation says formal, or you are wearing a suit, reach for a suede loafer or moccasin. The LS 01 Suede loafer and the MC 01 Suede moccasin read polished without going stiff, and they are soft enough to carry a long day and a longer evening. A darker shade is the safe formal choice; lighter tones suit a daytime or outdoor wedding. For a daytime or summer wedding, the LS 03 and LS 05 suede loafers and the LS 04 nubuck loafer come in lighter tones that sit well under linen and unstructured tailoring.
For a garden, country or city-hall wedding, or any invitation that says smart casual, a minimal white or black leather trainer is genuinely appropriate. The LT 03 Premium Nappa and LT 01 Essence in clean leather are smart enough to wear with tailoring without looking sporty. Keep them spotless and tonal, and skip anything with a loud sole or visible logo.
When it turns colder, a suede desert boot like the DB 01 bridges smart and seasonal, worn with a wool suit or a tailored trouser.
Build the outfit around the shoe. A tailored trouser or chino with a fine merino knit or a Cotton Silk knit polo covers most guest dress codes. For a formal invitation, the Essence Suit pairs our JC 01 overshirt and TP 02 trouser as a set: a clean, soft-tailored alternative to a stiff suit that travels without creasing. Keep the palette tonal and let the shoes finish it.
Can I wear trainers to a wedding?
Yes, for relaxed, outdoor and summer weddings, as long as they are clean, leather and unbranded. A clean leather trainer works under tailoring. For formal or black-tie weddings, choose a loafer or moccasin instead.
Trainers or loafers for a wedding?
Loafers and moccasins are the dressier, safer choice and suit formal dress codes; clean leather trainers are right for smart-casual, outdoor and summer weddings. Match the shoe to the dress code on the invitation.
Do you sell a suit for a wedding?
Yes. The Essence Suit pairs the JC 01 overshirt and TP 02 trouser as a set in our Traveller Weave, a soft-tailored alternative to a structured suit that travels well.
What shoes for a formal or black-tie wedding?
A clean leather or suede loafer in a dark tone is the most reliable choice. Keep it polished and tonal.
What colour shoes should I wear to a wedding?
Darker tones for formal and evening; lighter, tonal shades for daytime, outdoor and summer. Keep the whole outfit tonal.
