Men's tech jackets
The tech jacket is the jacket for the months between seasons. It takes a classic short jacket and rebuilds it as technical outerwear: clean, precise and light enough to layer. Designed in the Netherlands for the first cold mornings of autumn through to early spring, and part of Adaptive by ETQ.
What makes an ETQ tech jacket
- A wind-resistant shell: the dense Technical Weave keeps out the wind, and it is water-repellent, so rain runs off.
- A light fill: Engineered Down made for autumn and early spring. Warmth without the bulk.
- Built against the wind: a front zipper with a storm flap behind it, a stand collar that closes up to the chin, and elasticated cuffs and hem.
- A clean front: slanted hand pockets and an inner pocket, and nothing else.
How to wear a tech jacket
It sits at the waist, so it works best with chinos or jeans, over a hoodie, a sweater or a T-shirt. Runners or clean sneakers keep it easy.
How they fit
Our tech jackets run true to size, with a close finish at the wrist and waist and room for a sweater underneath. Take your usual size. Each product page shows the fit details for that style.
Frequently asked
What is a tech jacket?
A short, clean-lined jacket made in technical fabric: wind-resistant, water-repellent and lightly padded.
Is a tech jacket warm enough for winter?
It is made for the seasons in between. On cold days, layer a knit underneath. For deep winter, choose a puffer jacket.
Is a tech jacket waterproof?
It is water-repellent rather than fully waterproof: rain beads on the dense Technical Weave and runs off before it can soak in.
Tech jacket or hybrid blouson?
Both sit at the waist. A tech jacket is a full technical shell, wind-resistant all over. A hybrid blouson pairs a padded body with jersey sleeves, so it breathes and moves more.
