  1. Put a sheet of paper against a wall. Stand on it in socks, with your heel against the wall.
  2. Mark the tip of your longest toe.
  3. Measure from the wall to the mark and find that length in the table.

This is the loafer that can enter a room where the dress code was written down. The flat tonal sole and raised edge give the shape its definition and hold it there all day. Sharp with tailoring, easy with denim. Full-grain leather or nubuck, with a full leather lining. Full grain marks first, then settles. Step in and go.

Material info

Nubuck starts as full-grain leather, the strongest part of the hide, then the surface is lightly sanded to a fine, velvety nap. Softer to the touch than smooth leather, more robust than suede. Ours is tanned primarily by Curtumes Iberia in Alcanena, Portugal, an LWG Gold certified tannery, and every hide is inspected on finish, colour, surface and thickness before cutting. The nap deepens in tone with wear and builds character over time.

Good to know

  • We ship on working days. On New Year’s Day, King’s Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, we take a day off.
  • Delivery times are a guide. Very occasionally it takes a day longer, for example while your payment is still being processed.
  • We don’t deliver to PO boxes.

Insured in transit

Your order is insured until it reaches you. Sometimes we ask for a signature on delivery; from then on, the parcel is your responsibility. If someone else signs for you, their signature counts as proof of delivery.

Ordering from outside the EU?

Outside the EU (except the UK), you don’t pay Dutch VAT: the 21% comes off your order automatically at checkout, as soon as you enter your address or switch country or currency. 5% import duty and 5% VAT generally apply, plus a FedEx handling fee, on or after delivery.

Good to know

  • Send your items back clean and unworn, with their tags and packaging. That way we can process them quickly.
  • Underwear can only be returned with the seal intact.
  • Returning more than one item? We charge a €2 handling fee for each extra item.
  • You can also send your return with your own carrier. Even so, we recommend our return portal: if your parcel goes missing on the way, we’re responsible, and we process your return faster. We can’t reimburse the cost of your own carrier.
  • Price difference because of a promotion? We make up for it with a voucher.
  • If an item doesn’t meet these conditions, we may refund it in part or not at all.

How does the LS 04 fit?

A slim shape with a close fit. Take your usual size, or go one size up if you are between sizes or have wider feet. The shoe softens and shapes to your foot as you wear it.

Do you have half sizes?

No, we only make whole sizes. Between two sizes? Take the bigger one: you can fill a little space, but you can't add length. A slightly thicker insole or thicker socks take up the extra room, and the insole lifts out, so swapping it takes seconds.

Will nubuck give a little?

Yes, a little. Nubuck softens and shapes to your foot as you wear it. The length stays the same, so choose your size on length. Its soft surface takes in light instead of reflecting it, so it looks better on day two hundred than on day one.

How do I look after nubuck?

Protect it with a nubuck spray before your first wear, and again every few weeks. Brush it dry with a nubuck brush to lift dust and bring the colour back; a nubuck eraser takes care of most marks. Skip wax, cream and wet cloths. Caught in the rain? Stuff the shoes with paper, dry them slowly at room temperature, away from the heater, then brush. Nubuck is a natural material, so small colour differences between batches are normal.

How dressed is the LS 04?

Can I take the insole out?

Yes. The insole lifts out, so you can fit a fresh one or your own orthotics.

How do returns work if it doesn't fit?

Open our return portal and choose your new size: it ships as soon as your return is on its way, and you don't need to place a new order. Prefer a different colour or model? Choose store credit and order again, or choose a refund. Costs per country are on our returns page.

Is there a warranty on my ETQ product?

Yes, manufacturing defects are covered by the statutory warranty. Something not right? Send us a photo and your order number and we’ll find a solution together. Normal wear and damage from use are not covered.

Do you have a store?

We don't have our own store: ETQ is online only. You order here and try everything on at home. If it isn't right, you can exchange or return it through our return portal.
