The JC 01 Modular Trenchcoat consists of two separate layers: an outer coat and a removable inner coat. Each layer has its own proportions, so measurements are shown separately below.

How to measure each point

Description

One coat for most of the year. It borrows the line of a city raincoat and the quiet of tailoring, and then it comes apart. The Technical Weave shell is dense and water-repellent, so rain beads and runs off. The quilted inner jacket zips in when you want more warmth, and either one goes out alone. Half-length, with a split hem.

Material info

Woven and tested in China by specialists in technical fabric, where precision is the standard. The weave is tight and the finish repels water: rain beads on the surface and runs off before it can soak in. The hand is dry and matte, with enough body to hold a clean line and enough give to move with you. It dries quickly and keeps its finish through a season of daily wear.

Insured in transit

Your order is insured until it reaches you. Sometimes we ask for a signature on delivery; from then on, the parcel is your responsibility. If someone else signs for you, their signature counts as proof of delivery.

Ordering from outside the EU?

Outside the EU (except the UK), you don’t pay Dutch VAT: the 21% comes off your order automatically at checkout, as soon as you enter your address or switch country or currency. 5% import duty and 5% VAT generally apply, plus a FedEx handling fee, on or after delivery.

Good to know

  • Send your items back clean and unworn, with their tags and packaging. That way we can process them quickly.
  • Underwear can only be returned with the seal intact.
  • Returning more than one item? We charge a €2 handling fee for each extra item.
  • You can also send your return with your own carrier. Even so, we recommend our return portal: if your parcel goes missing on the way, we’re responsible, and we process your return faster. We can’t reimburse the cost of your own carrier.
  • Price difference because of a promotion? We make up for it with a voucher.
  • If an item doesn’t meet these conditions, we may refund it in part or not at all.

How does the JC 01 Modular Trenchcoat fit?

True to size, so take your usual size. It is made to wear over a shirt or knit, with a clean line from the shoulder.

How does the two-in-one work?

The inner jacket is removable, so you wear it as one coat or two. The outer coat is in a dense, water-repellent Technical Weave; the inner jacket is quilted soft shell with a stand collar. Both layers are lightly padded with Engineered Down.

Is it water-repellent?

Yes. The Technical Weave is dense and water-repellent: rain beads and runs off.

What is Engineered Down?

Our fill: the warmth of down without the weight. It keeps insulating when it gets damp, and it dries faster than the real thing.

How do returns work if it doesn't fit?

Open our return portal and choose your new size: it ships as soon as your return is on its way, and you don't need to place a new order. Prefer a different colour or model? Choose store credit and order again, or choose a refund. Costs per country are on our returns page.

Is there a warranty on my ETQ product?

Yes, manufacturing defects are covered by the statutory warranty. Something not right? Send us a photo and your order number and we’ll find a solution together. Normal wear and damage from use are not covered.

Do you have a store?

We don't have our own store: ETQ is online only. You order here and try everything on at home. If it isn't right, you can exchange or return it through our return portal.
