Men's jackets and coats
A jacket for every kind of cold. ETQ outerwear takes the classics, the trenchcoat, the puffer, the bomber, the blouson and the zip-front wool jacket, and strips them back to what matters: a clean line, a technical shell, and warmth without the bulk. Designed in the Netherlands, marked by the signature ETQ square at the neck, and built to be worn from the first cold morning of autumn to the first days of spring.
Which jacket to choose
- Trenchcoats: the line of a city raincoat with the quiet of tailoring, in a water-repellent shell. Modular styles add a removable quilted inner jacket: wear them together or either one alone.
- Puffer jackets: our warmest outerwear. Filled with Engineered Down and finished with a water-repellent shell, storm flaps and a two-way zipper.
- Wool jackets: the sharpest choice. A smooth, lightly brushed wool blend, fully lined and tailored to fall cleanly from the shoulder over a knit or a shirt.
- Tech jackets: the bomber, rebuilt as technical outerwear. Wind-resistant, lightly padded and light enough to layer.
- Hybrid blousons: padded where you need warmth, technical jersey where you move. It wears like a mid-layer and warms like a jacket.
Which jacket for which weather
For mild, windy, showery days between seasons, take a tech jacket or a trenchcoat shell on its own. For cold, dry days that run from the street to the office, a wool jacket or a hybrid blouson, which also layers under a coat. For deep winter, a puffer jacket, or a modular trenchcoat with its inner jacket zipped in.
How to wear them
Over a merino knit and tailored trousers, a wool jacket or a trenchcoat is sharp enough for the office; see our business casual edit. Tech jackets and blousons sit at the waist, so they work best with chinos or jeans and a hoodie or sweater. A puffer goes over everything; with a pair of boots it is a complete winter uniform.

Are ETQ jackets waterproof?
Our technical jackets are water-repellent rather than fully waterproof: rain beads on the dense Technical Weave and runs off before it can soak in, and the fabric dries quickly. Each product page lists exactly how that jacket is protected.
What is Engineered Down?
Our alternative to natural down, used in our puffer jackets: the warmth of down without the weight. It keeps insulating when it gets damp and dries faster than the real thing.
How does a modular coat work?
A modular coat is two coats in one: a water-repellent outer shell and a removable, quilted inner jacket. Wear the shell alone in autumn rain, the inner jacket on its own on dry, cool days, or zip them together when it turns cold.
Which jacket is the warmest?
For the coldest days, choose a puffer jacket. For a longer, more tailored option, a modular trenchcoat with its inner jacket zipped in.
Tech jacket or hybrid blouson?
Both sit at the waist. A tech jacket is a full technical shell, wind-resistant all over and made for between-season weather. A hybrid blouson pairs a padded body with technical jersey sleeves, so it breathes and moves more. Wear it on its own or as a mid-layer under a coat.

How to measure
Let’s find your perfect fit. Place a sheet of paper on the floor against the wall and put your feet (with socks) on it, heels against the wall. Make sure you lean on your feet with full power when measuring. Now you simply draw a line at the end of the biggest foot. Measure the distance with a ruler and find the size that matches it: see size table. Are you in between sizes? In that case, we suggest taking the bigger size.
Mediterranean Suede

Premium Suede

Nappa Leather
Soft. Smooth. Nappa leather makes extremely comfortable shoes. The leather is obtained from tanning animal hides. It is characterized by a fine grain and a smooth finish. It feels simply sophisticated.
Nubuck Leather
Premium nubuck: the best of the best. Exclusive leather that we sanded rough on the outside grain part of the hide, giving it a velvety butter-soft surface. It offers utmost suppleness.
Full Grain Leather
Full grain leather is naturally firmer and more durable as it is produced by retaining the top layer of the hide. Its appearance is natural, authentic, and robust. You are still able to see the grains. It looks just like the grains on your skin. We never sanded, buffed, or snuffed it, so this leather is super strong.
French Terry
Tès Chique. French terry is a knit characterized by its unique looped-back construction. One side is smooth, and the other side is textured with loops of thread. It is known for its comfort, breathability, and moisture-proof properties. French terry is available as lightweight or heavyweight.
Punti di Roma
Wrinkle-resistant, soft like a baby, and slightly elastic. This is Italian quality, knitted to perfection. Punti Di Roma has a heavy, rich quality as the stitches interlock on both sides of the fabric. The best part: it’s recovery properties. This fabric stays in shape. And so will you.
Bamboo
Bamboo fibers are derived from the pulp of bamboo plants. Bamboo knits are soft and breathable. Moisture wicking? Yes. Ideal for socks.
American Fleece
