Merino Wool Crewneck Sweaters

The crewneck is the most honest test of a knit — there's nowhere to hide. No collar, no zip, just the fibre, the gauge and the finish. The ETQ SW 04 passes it in 100% extrafine merino: a clean round neck, a dense fine-gauge body, and a hand that's soft enough for direct skin contact with no scratch.

It's the piece you build outfits around. Worn alone, layered over a tee, or under a jacket — the crewneck stays neat because merino resists wrinkling and holds its shape. It regulates temperature, wicks moisture and naturally resists odour, so it stays fresh through long days and travels well.

Like all our merino, it's machine washable on the gentle wool cycle at 30°C — premium wool that fits real life. Designed in The Netherlands, spun from the finest merino flocks in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Available in Off White, Dark Fig, Blueberry and Black. Prefer a collar? See the half-zip and roll neck, or browse all merino sweaters.

Is a merino crewneck good for layering?

Ideal. It's thin, smooth and bulk-free, so it sits cleanly under a jacket or overshirt and works as a mid-layer or on its own.

How do I keep a merino crewneck in shape?

Wash inside out on the gentle wool cycle at 30°C, reshape while damp, dry flat in shade. Never tumble dry — heat felts the fibres.

Will it pill?

High-quality, fine-gauge merino resists pilling far better than coarse blends. Wash gently and wash less (merino's odour resistance means you can) and it stays smooth for years.
