Men's chinos

The Essence Chino is the most-worn trouser ETQ makes: a clean, everyday chino cut from a structured Cotton Twill, natural, breathable and hard-wearing, with a drape that holds up to daily life and takes a press when you want one. Designed in our Amsterdam studio and made in family-owned ateliers in Portugal, Turkey or China, chosen per piece for the best make.

The chino range

  • Essence Chino: the core chino in Cotton Twill, our best-stocked everyday trouser.
  • Straight and slim cuts: pick the leg that suits you.

How to wear them

A chino is the easiest smart-casual trouser to own. Wear it with a heavyweight tee and sneakers for everyday, or a tailored polo and suede loafers for the office. The tonal shades are easy to build around; layer a knit or overshirt as it cools.

Fabric and fit

We choose fabrics to last. The Essence Chino is a structured cotton twill, breathable and durable, with a clean line. Across the wider range we favour natural cotton, usually with a little elastane for comfort and movement, and reserve engineered performance fabrics for the pieces that benefit from them. Offered in straight and slim; most customers find them true to size.

Care

Exact care is listed on every product page. As a rule: machine wash cool with like colours, reshape and hang or tumble on low, and use a warm iron if you want a sharper line. See the size guide and care guide for more.
