Magnificent sandals

I dont’t usually like sandals, but when I saw these in the photo, I was intrigued and wanted to try them. I wasn’t wrong, they’re gorgeous, elegant, super comfortable and super soft. I’m very satisfied

Very good

These are really high-quality shoes; this is the second time I've bought them in the same color, and I have a total of five pairs in different colors

Top quality

I’ve actually been wearing Chelsea boots for years, but so far these ones from ETQ are the best in terms of quality and design. I’m going to buy the brown pair too. Highly recommended!

Suede footwear for men

Suede is the signature feel of the brand. We use Mediterranean Suede, sanded for a soft, matt hand, across more of our range than any other material: sneakers, loafers, boots and sandals. Designed in our Dutch studio and made in family-owned ateliers in Portugal. If you have felt an ETQ shoe and remembered the texture, this is usually why.

What comes in suede

  • Loafers: the LS 01 and the wider loafer line, the heart of our suede range.
  • Sneakers: the LT 01 and LT 03 in tonal suede colourways.
  • Boots: the CB 01 chelsea and the DB 01 desert boot.
  • Sandals: warm-weather slides in the same suede.

How to wear suede

Suede leans relaxed and tonal: it sits naturally with chinos, knitwear and earth tones, and softens tailored trousers for a less formal look. The tonal shades are the easiest everyday choice; darker shades dress up. See our business casual edit.

Caring for suede

Suede is easier to live with than people expect. Apply a protector spray before first wear and brush now and then; once protected it handles light rain, though it is not built for heavy wet weather. Pale shades pick up marks with wear, which brush out.

Frequently asked questions

Is suede hard to look after?
No, with a little routine. Protect it before first wear, brush occasionally, and avoid heavy rain. See our shoe care range and care guide.

What is the difference between suede and nubuck?
Suede is sanded from the inside of the hide for a soft, matt nap; nubuck is buffed from the outer grain, so it is firmer and more structured.

Does suede footwear fit the same as the rest?
Yes. Most pieces fit true to size; slip-ons lean slightly snug. Between sizes, take the larger one.

Where is it made?
Designed in our Dutch studio and made in family-owned ateliers in Portugal.
