A Chelsea boot has nowhere to hide. No laces, no hardware, so the silhouette carries it or it does not. In suede the slim last reads softer, and the welted commando sole underneath keeps it from tipping into dress boot. For weather you can see coming, and days that do not end where they started.
Mediterranean suede, soft from the first wear, on a welted construction: the sole is stitched to the upper along a strip of leather, the slower way to build a boot and one that holds together far longer. A memory foam insole inside. Wear it with dark denim or wool trousers, from the first cold morning to the last.
- Handmade in Portugal, in a family-run factory we have worked with for years. Designed in the Netherlands.
- Mediterranean suede, tanned at LWG certified tanneries in Italy and Spain. Soft from the first wear, and it takes the shape of your foot within a week.
- Welted construction: the sole is stitched to the upper along a strip of leather instead of glued to it. It is the slower way to build a shoe, and it holds together far longer than a bonded sole.
- Hand-lasted, then inspected twice before it leaves the factory.
- Between 20 and 40 separate components in every pair, put together by hand.
- A removable memory foam insole that softens to the shape of your foot. Lift it out to fit a fresh one or your own orthotics.
- A reinforced toe and heel counter inside the shoe, so it still holds its shape wear after wear.
- A reusable travel bag comes in the box, for wherever the shoes go next.
- The white box is the shipping box, so there is no second carton to throw away.

Good to know
- We ship on working days. On New Year’s Day, King’s Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, we take a day off.
- Delivery times are a guide. Very occasionally it takes a day longer, for example while your payment is still being processed.
- We don’t deliver to PO boxes.
Insured in transit
Your order is insured until it reaches you. Sometimes we ask for a signature on delivery; from then on, the parcel is your responsibility. If someone else signs for you, their signature counts as proof of delivery.
Ordering from outside the EU?
Outside the EU (except the UK), you don’t pay Dutch VAT: the 21% comes off your order automatically at checkout, as soon as you enter your address or switch country or currency. Import duties and local taxes aren’t included; the carrier collects them on delivery (DDU). We can’t calculate or cover them in advance, so check with your local customs office what to expect.

Doesn’t fit the way you hoped? Register your return or exchange in our return portal within 14 days of receiving your order. Exchanging for another size costs $29.

Good to know
- Send your items back clean and unworn, with their tags and packaging. That way we can process them quickly.
- Underwear can only be returned with the seal intact.
- Returning more than one item? We charge a €2 handling fee for each extra item.
- You can also send your return with your own carrier. Even so, we recommend our return portal: if your parcel goes missing on the way, we’re responsible, and we process your return faster. We can’t reimburse the cost of your own carrier.
- Price difference because of a promotion? We make up for it with a voucher.
- If an item doesn’t meet these conditions, we may refund it in part or not at all.

When it comes to materials, our bar is high. No shortcuts. ETQs premium suedes and leathers are smooth like butter and cherry-picked per shoe. Obsessive, yes. But: soon after wearing ETQ you will notice the quality difference.

Very good Chelsea boot
I've owned a few pairs of Chelsea boots, but these fit really great. Thanks to the rough texture on the sole, they're perfect for walking in the snow.
Arrived used and damaged
Shoes sold as new arrived used and damaged. Customer service was slow and exhausting. Brand looks good but for me, a bad first experience.
Top quality
I’ve actually been wearing Chelsea boots for years, but so far these ones from ETQ are the best in terms of quality and design. I’m going to buy the brown pair too. Highly recommended!

How to measure
Let’s find your perfect fit. Place a sheet of paper on the floor against the wall and put your feet (with socks) on it, heels against the wall. Make sure you lean on your feet with full power when measuring. Now you simply draw a line at the end of the biggest foot. Measure the distance with a ruler and find the size that matches it: see size table. Are you in between sizes? In that case, we suggest taking the bigger size.

How to measure

Draw a line at the end of your longest toe and measure the distance from the wall using a ruler.
Between sizes?
Choose the larger size. Feet naturally expand throughout the day, so measuring in the evening usually gives the most accurate result.
