- Handmade in Portugal, in a family-run factory we have worked with for years. Designed in the Netherlands.
- Hand-lasted, then inspected twice before it leaves the factory.
- Between 20 and 40 separate components in every pair, put together by hand.
- A reinforced toe and heel counter inside the shoe, so it still holds its shape after a year of wearing.
- Our own sole, from our own mould, in a rubber blend we specified ourselves: enough give to walk on all day, firm enough to hold its shape.
- Stitched, not glued. The upper is attached to the sole with a seam, so the shoe bends where your foot bends.
- Nappa leather from an LWG Gold tannery in Alcanena, Portugal. Smooth enough that light runs across it rather than catching.
- onSteam® lining moves moisture away from the foot, which is what keeps a leather shoe wearable on a long day.
- A removable memory foam insole that softens to the shape of your foot and holds it there.
- The insole lifts straight out, so you can put in a fresh one or wear your own orthotics. Spare laces are available separately.
- Tonal metal eyelets and nylon laces, so nothing catches the eye before the shape does.

Insurance
ETQ insures each purchase during time in transit until it is delivered to you. Orders may require signature upon delivery, at which point responsibility for the shipment passes to you. If you have specified a recipient other than yourself for delivery purposes, you also accept that signature by the third party is sufficient proof of delivery and fulfillment by ETQ Amsterdam.
VAT discount
Customers ordering from outside the European Union (except customers from the UK) will receive a VAT discount of 21% on their order. This is applied at checkout once you have entered your delivery details or when you switch country/currency while browsing on our website.
Customs, duties and taxes
All orders shipped to countries outside the European Union (except the UK) are shipped Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU). Customs, duties and taxes are not included in the item price or shipping cost. When you place an international order, you agree to pay any applicable customs, duties or taxes levied by your destination country.
Unfortunately we cannot calculate these charges prior to your order being placed and are unable to cover them for customers. Any applicable fees will be collected from you by the carrier upon delivery. Please check with your local customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchase.

Our return policy
You can submit a return or exchange within 14 days of receiving your order. The return fee and exchange fee depend on your country and are shown in the table below.
- Use our return portal to submit your return or exchange.
- Need a different size? You can request an exchange through our return portal.
- Items must be clean, unworn and returned with all tags and packaging in good condition.
- For hygiene reasons, underwear can only be returned or exchanged if the seal is still intact.
- If a returned item does not meet our return conditions, we may refuse the refund in full or in part.
- We recommend using our return portal. If you choose your own carrier, we are not liable for loss in transit and processing may take longer.
- If you use your own carrier, those return costs will not be reimbursed.
- For returns with multiple items, a €2.00 handling fee applies for each extra item from the second item onward.
- If there is a price difference due to an ongoing promotion, this can be compensated with a voucher.

They're not bad, but I was expecting more
When I bought them, I thought they were the ultimate leather sneakers, but they’re not all that great. They have a fabric strip on the heel that gets dirty very quickly; the interior is made of comfortable leather; the sole is thicker and more comfortable than I expected; I don’t know why, but they make my feet feel hotter than other sneakers. The leather is good quality, and overall the craftsmanship is very good, but it falls a little short of the level of finish you’d expect for the price.

If you're looking for minimalist sneakers with a slim fit and high-quality craftsmanship at a good price, then these are the ones for you. The appearance is magnificent.

The sole is thick enough, slow abrasion, rubber. The leather is strong and soft. The design is simple and easy to combine.

5 Stars because they are the most comfortable non barefoot white sneakers I ever owned. Right from the box! Why almost perfect? Because even if I know that they are not comparable with barefoot sneakers I would love to have toe box which gives a bit more room for the big toe. Then they'd be perfect for me and my feet! I enjoy the quality, feel and essential look of them. This is my pair of white sneakers for special occasions ... and I might get another one for daily use when they're on sale next time ;)
