- Handmade in Portugal, in a family-run factory we have worked with for years. Designed in the Netherlands.
- Hand-lasted, then inspected twice before it leaves the factory.
- Between 20 and 40 separate components in every pair, put together by hand.
- A reinforced toe and heel counter inside the shoe, so it still holds its shape after a year of wearing.
- Our own sole, from our own mould, in a rubber blend we specified ourselves: enough give to walk on all day, firm enough to hold its shape.
- The boat shoe line, set on our own sole instead of the traditional one.
- Full-grain leather from an LWG Gold tannery in Alcanena, Portugal. It marks, then settles, and holds its shape for years.
- A full leather lining that softens with wear and settles to the shape of the foot.
- A removable memory foam insole that softens to the shape of your foot and holds it there.
- The insole lifts straight out, so you can put in a fresh one or wear your own orthotics.
- Signed with our square at the heel.

Delivery times are provided as guidelines only and do not take into account possible delays caused by payment authorization and/or stock availability. We are unable to deliver to post office boxes.

Insurance
ETQ insures each purchase during time in transit until it is delivered to you. Orders may require signature upon delivery, at which point responsibility for the shipment passes to you. If you have specified a recipient other than yourself for delivery purposes, you also accept that signature by the third party is sufficient proof of delivery and fulfillment by ETQ Amsterdam.
VAT discount
Customers ordering from outside the European Union (except customers from the UK) will receive a VAT discount of 21% on their order. This is applied at checkout once you have entered your delivery details or when you switch country/currency while browsing on our website.
Customs, duties and taxes
All orders shipped to countries outside the European Union (except the UK) are shipped Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU). Customs, duties and taxes are not included in the item price or shipping cost. When you place an international order, you agree to pay any applicable customs, duties or taxes levied by your destination country.
Unfortunately we cannot calculate these charges prior to your order being placed and are unable to cover them for customers. Any applicable fees will be collected from you by the carrier upon delivery. Please check with your local customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchase.

Our return policy
You can submit a return or exchange within 14 days of receiving your order. The return fee and exchange fee depend on your country and are shown in the table below.
- Use our return portal to submit your return or exchange.
- Need a different size? You can request an exchange through our return portal.
- Items must be clean, unworn and returned with all tags and packaging in good condition.
- For hygiene reasons, underwear can only be returned or exchanged if the seal is still intact.
- If a returned item does not meet our return conditions, we may refuse the refund in full or in part.
- We recommend using our return portal. If you choose your own carrier, we are not liable for loss in transit and processing may take longer.
- If you use your own carrier, those return costs will not be reimbursed.
- For returns with multiple items, a €2.00 handling fee applies for each extra item from the second item onward.
- If there is a price difference due to an ongoing promotion, this can be compensated with a voucher.

We've always been fascinated by packaging. We designed it with efficiency and with the environment in mind. The modular packaging consists of long-lasting items created with recycled materials, while the shipping box is repurposed to serve as a shoebox as well.

I've been a fan of ETQ since day one. The shoes fit like a glove.
Horrible horrible horrible customer service
As I had the shop app installed on my phone, the product got ordered against my intention without asking for details/address. I immediately emailed but of course got an AI agent respond saying sorry, too bad. I explained the situation but no one cared. Never coming back, and making sure none of my friends do too. What a horrible experience which could have been easily solved by a simple cancellation. And then I had to pay 7euros and waste an hour of my time to return the product. Terrible.

The top just takes an extremely long time for the leather to stop creaking

I was hesitant to order the shoes online, but there are good tools available to help you order the right size. The shoes themselves fit great—I danced all day at a wedding and didn't have any sore feet; the sole is great. The fabric and design are high quality. Highly recommended :).
Shoes was exceptional but a replacement issue
The shoes are incredibly comfortable and of excellent quality. However, the delivery process was disorganized and error-prone. After I had to return them for a different size, it took about a month before I finally received the replacement. That simply isn’t good enough.

Lovely shoes which are great for casual outfits but can easily be dressed up for more things as required. Perfect for work trips!

A beautiful, minimalist take on the classic boat shoe with a comfortable sole.
Nice shoes, run small, no returns
The shoes come in very elegant packaging and look high-quality. Unfortunately, I had trouble with the return because the 14-day return period was calculated from the date the package was dropped off at the post office in the Netherlands. I contacted customer support but haven't received a response yet.

I would recommend sizing down one size.
Comfortable
So soft and comfortable with style
Great look and feel, but be mindful of the size.
The quality, the look, awesome. The sizing on the other hand, is totally not as described. The built in calculator told me to get 46 (I have wide feet and usually have a 45), but when I got them they were massive. Returned them for a 44, but even this still feels big. With an extra sole and some padding I was able to fix it, but I’m afraid I won’t wear them as much because of this.

Make sure you lean on your feet with full power when measuring. Now you simply draw a line at the end of the biggest foot. Measure the distance with a ruler and find the size that matches it: see size table. Are you in between sizes? In that case, we suggest taking the bigger size.
