A loafer without a penny strap is a shoe you simply step into. The MC 01 keeps the moccasin line uninterrupted and lets the upper do the shaping, so the foot sets the form rather than the hardware. It works with a trouser and it works with denim. Step in, and the decision is already made.

- Handmade in Portugal, in a family-run factory we have worked with for years. Designed in the Netherlands.
- Hand-lasted, then inspected twice before it leaves the factory.
- Between 20 and 40 separate components in every pair, put together by hand.
- A reinforced toe and heel counter inside the shoe, so it still holds its shape wear after wear.
- A rugged rubber outsole with a deeper tread, for ground that is not flat.
- A moccasin line with no penny strap, so nothing breaks the shape across the foot.
- Full-grain leather from an LWG Gold tannery in Alcanena, Portugal. It marks, then settles, and holds its shape for years.
- A full leather lining that softens with wear and settles to the shape of the foot.
- A removable memory foam insole that softens to the shape of your foot and holds it there.
- The insole lifts straight out, so you can put in a fresh one or wear your own orthotics.

Insurance
ETQ insures each purchase during time in transit until it is delivered to you. Orders may require signature upon delivery, at which point responsibility for the shipment passes to you. If you have specified a recipient other than yourself for delivery purposes, you also accept that signature by the third party is sufficient proof of delivery and fulfillment by ETQ Amsterdam.
VAT discount
Customers ordering from outside the European Union (except customers from the UK) will receive a VAT discount of 21% on their order. This is applied at checkout once you have entered your delivery details or when you switch country/currency while browsing on our website.
Customs, duties and taxes
All orders shipped to countries outside the European Union (except the UK) are shipped Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU). Customs, duties and taxes are not included in the item price or shipping cost. When you place an international order, you agree to pay any applicable customs, duties or taxes levied by your destination country.
Unfortunately we cannot calculate these charges prior to your order being placed and are unable to cover them for customers. Any applicable fees will be collected from you by the carrier upon delivery. Please check with your local customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchase.

Our return policy
You can submit a return or exchange within 14 days of receiving your order. The return fee and exchange fee depend on your country and are shown in the table below.
- Use our return portal to submit your return or exchange.
- Need a different size? You can request an exchange through our return portal.
- Items must be clean, unworn and returned with all tags and packaging in good condition.
- For hygiene reasons, underwear can only be returned or exchanged if the seal is still intact.
- If a returned item does not meet our return conditions, we may refuse the refund in full or in part.
- We recommend using our return portal. If you choose your own carrier, we are not liable for loss in transit and processing may take longer.
- If you use your own carrier, those return costs will not be reimbursed.
- For returns with multiple items, a €2.00 handling fee applies for each extra item from the second item onward.
- If there is a price difference due to an ongoing promotion, this can be compensated with a voucher.

We've always been fascinated by packaging. We designed it with efficiency and with the environment in mind. The modular packaging consists of long-lasting items created with recycled materials, while the shipping box is repurposed to serve as a shoebox as well.

Let’s find your perfect fit. Place a sheet of paper on the floor against the wall and put your feet (with socks) on it, heels against the wall. Make sure you lean on your feet with full power when measuring. Now you simply draw a line at the end of the biggest foot. Measure the distance with a ruler and find the size that matches it: see size table. Are you in between sizes? In that case, we suggest taking the bigger size.

How to measure
Place a sheet of paper on the floor against a wall. Stand on it with your socks on, heels touching the wall.
Draw a line at the end of your longest toe and measure the distance from the wall using a ruler.
Between sizes?
Choose the larger size. Feet naturally expand throughout the day, so measuring in the evening usually gives the most accurate result.
